Entrepreneurial Thinking in the Classroom: A Glimpse into the Future
I had the opportunity to be a jury member for the Young CEO program by ThinkStartup at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and what an extraordinary experience it was.
What made it even more impressive was that the students had just 4 days to prepare. Working with peers from different schools, most of whom they had never met before, they came together to ideate, build, and pitch startup ideas. The clarity with which they spoke about GTM strategies, market sizing, and revenue models was remarkable, concepts many of us only came across much later in life.
The youngest participant was just 11 years old, and yet the energy, confidence, and articulation across the board were exceptional. It made me reflect on how different my school experience was, deeply focused on academics, with little exposure to entrepreneurship or real-world problem solving.
What we’re witnessing is a generational shift in mindset. This kind of all-round development gives me hope that the future of our country is in capable, curious, and courageous hands.
A special shoutout to ThinkStartup for creating such meaningful platforms. These are the sparks that will shape tomorrow’s leaders.
Grateful to have shared the jury panel with Rohit Chanana and Aditya Arora whose insights made the experience even more enriching.
