Values, Value, and Value Creation : A Legacy Built on Dosti and Win-Win with All Stakeholders
In my earlier years in finance, I spent a lot of time reading about value investing, especially from Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Their teachings shaped how I approached investing and continue to influence how my father, Rohit Chanana, and I think at Sarcha Advisors today.
One belief has stayed constant: values and a strong value proposition create legacy and meaningful outcomes for all partners.
In a world that often chases quick valuations, the real question is: are we creating enduring value for all stakeholders?
Buffett said, “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” That principle aligns with our focus on backing businesses that are built to last, serving customers, teams, investors, and communities.
Munger’s reminder that “The best thing a human being can do is to help another human being know more” reinforces the importance of trust, humility, and learning—qualities we prioritise in our partnerships.
For us, value creation happens when:
- Decisions are anchored in trust, integrity, and respect
- Something distinct, relevant, and evolving is built
- Benefits and growth are shared fairly along the journey
When value flows Dil Se, it builds loyalty, deepens relationships, and strengthens reputations. The bonds it creates last far beyond the transaction.
Values are the compass.
Value is the promise.
Value creation is the journey of enriching every life we touch.
At Sarcha Advisors, we’re not just investing in businesses; we’re nurturing relationships that last. Not chasing valuations, but building bonds Dil Se.
