Josh Talks was my first Angel Investment it has been founded by two young, passionate entrepreneurs, Supriya and Shobhit.
I have very vivid memories of my first interaction with them 2 years ago at Piano Bar, Oberoi Gurgaon. They were looking to raise a fresh round of Investments from Angels and were already two years into their Startup journey.
I spent a couple of hours, in a very relaxed environment, understanding their life journey, values, and why they decided to launch Josh Talks.
I asked them a few questions and a couple of these are as under:

Q: Who is their competitor?
“This is a very long term commitment, who will spend ten years of their life without any clarity of success, as things were very dynamic and still evolving “.
Theses were very crisp responses, and they truly amazed me with their answers, I was surprised with their thinking and level of maturity.
While I was concluding my meeting with them I let them know I am okay to invest. They were surprised that I offered to invest without looking at a spreadsheet and asking about their revenue model. It was my belief that anybody who is out to make an impact in the lives of, without any vested agenda, is likely to succeed as even god has no choice but to support these young guys. I have over the last few years seen their journey and they surprise me every time I meet them with some pathbreaking ideas and solutions and the way they have been able to get to the current state without raising another round. They also believed that they can grow by finding options to increase revenues by creating new revenue streams. Life has not been easy, like in any start-up, every time they faced some challenges, they have been able to come up with solutions and both of them continue to work with the same passion, enthusiasm, and energy. Their unwavering faith and confidence will keep them on the path to enjoy the journey that they started four years ago.
I am very happy to see both Shobhit and Supriya do so well, I wish them all the best in making a positive impact in the lives of people and be able to achieve their dreams.
