Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of closely observing Atul Pratap Singh , the founder of Jobsgaar, as he navigated through the complex landscape of creating meaningful employment opportunities in Tier-2 cities of India.

His journey is a testament to resilience, as he has faced numerous challenges, including the company running out of cash on multiple occasions. Yet, his unwavering determination has been the driving force behind Jobsgaar’s survival and growth.

In the early days, despite promising initial traction, Jobsgaar faced significant monetization challenges. This prompted extensive market assessments and a strategic pivot that culminated in the launch of their first Phygital Centre in Kanpur. This initiative marked a turning point in their journey.

Key Learnings of Jobsgaar over the past three years
1. Employer Side : Competitors offering free plans, overwhelmed HR departments, and ineffective paid services.

2. Jobseekers Side : Mass registrations, lack of commitment, and uncertainty about applications.

3. Tier-2 Market Void :Absence of organized offline players or reliable HR consultants, and neglect of SMB/MSME employers.

Realignment of Business Model
Jobsgaar identified the potential for a Phygital Model, creating touchpoints for both employers and jobseekers, addressing the issue of trust deficit , and providing a local touchpoint.

Outcome
Beyond mere engagement and user onboarding, Jobsgaar has clocked the highest quarterly revenue with significant growth since its launch in 2021.

Core Differentiated Technology

While the front store serves as an interaction point, the core solution to the employment problem lies in Jobsgaar’s proprietary matchmaking technology. This tech ensures superfast matching of candidates with jobs and guarantees that only highly qualified candidates reach the hiring funnel. In an era where quick commerce delivers groceries in 10 minutes, Jobsgaar’s technology facilitates interviews in just 7 seconds.

What’s Next?

It’s still very early stages to call it a success but it’s a baby step ,
as Jobsgaar pursues its ambitious goal of providing walk to work jobs to 100 million people in Bharat, they will steadily expand their network of Phygital Centres as they create a playbook.

I am excited to witness and support Jobsgaar’s remarkable journey!
