ISHANI CHANANA TALWAR, NAMED AS 41 WOMEN TORCHBEARERS OF INDIAN STARTUP INVESTOR ECOSYSTEM BY INC42

I’d like to dedicate this post in congratulating my daughter and partner, Ishani on being named amongst the 41 women torchbearers of India’s start-up investment space by Inc42.

It is an extremely proud moment for me as Ishani being amongst the youngest on the list is listed along side some of the leading investors. She has also been recognised by Ficci Flo and been featured in their coffee table book.

Ishani has been my investment partner at Sarcha Advisors for over 4 years, prior to joining me she worked at Edelweiss for over 4 years and is an alumni of Warwick Business School.

Ishani has helped me in making over 60 angel investments from our family office besides close to 10 investments in her personal capacity.

I am blessed to have her join my investing journey in Start-Ups and playing a role in promoting entrepreneurship. She always comes up with great insights and different perspectives, which is why she has the final say in any investment that I make.

She ensures I bring in some rationality in our decision process and ensures I don’t go overboard on asset allocation . Ishani also brings in sense of spirituality while backing founders.
