Launch of LEO1 – Mastercard by Indian Cricket Team Captain, Rohit Sharma

At the outset I want to thank my founder friend, Rohit Gajbhiye for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the launch of Leo1 -Mastercard.

I was able to have a one on one with the man himself Rohit Sharma and Rohit Gajbhiye who introduced me as someone who is deeply engaged in promoting entrepreneurship and startups. He also let Mr Sharma know of the role I played in their initial journey of the company.

On my side, I shared my thoughts around the role that I have played as an angel investor in 60 startups and advisor/dost. I try and be a dost, inspire , energize and provide clarity of thought. It was a great coincidence with the three Rohits coming together and each one of us trying to make a positive impact.

Rohit Gajbhiye, shared the vision of his company which promotes and makse education financing easier while offering interesting offerings bundled with the SaaS products for educational institutions.

Talking about Rohit Sharma, he was extremely humble and smiling all the time. Rohit is the brand ambassador and investor in Leo1.

I am enlisting below key thoughts shared by him.

A. Believe in your team members and trust they will do their best, take their fear away that they could be dropped (inspires ,energise)

B. While playing to win is important but enjoying the journey is as important

C. Individual performances can win only a few matches but it is the team work that helps in winning consistently

D. Provide role clarity (clarity of thought)

E. He was extremely calm while responding to questions posed by Mandira Bedi (humane and humble)

F. There were some lighter moments as well where he shared on how he proposed to Ritika, how he loves to watch comedy movies, sing songs for his daughter

What is interesting to me is that all three Rohits, have not only common name but similar thoughts , I felt blessed to be in their company .

All in all it was a great evening. I wish both Rohits great success in their lives.
